8/20/08:
Hello, friends. Last time I wrote you was over a year ago- boy, time flies. I had just finished my healing (chemo) treatments and was thanking God for total healing! Today, I write you still in awe of God's grace and mercy. Come October of this year I will celebrate 2 years of victory over breast cancer. God indeed is good. Your prayers have meant SO much to me during this period in my life-- for I am a living testimony of what prayer can do! In fact, over the last year, I have been so energized by what God has and is doing in my life that I have written my first-ever book about my experience entitled, "My Seven-Day Makeover: One Breast Cancer Survivor's Spiritual Journey." (You can pick it up on amazon.com.) Further, I am excited to share that our sophomore cd project WILL be hitting store shelves late fall of this year. (Stay tuned for further details of its release.) Also, I am participating in Champaign-Urbana's first Making Strides Against Breast Cancer 5K Walk on October 5, 2008 as a 2-yr. cancer SURVIVOR (hey, hey, hey!!). I will be participating along with my family (Kevin and our two boys) and other believers in the community on a team aptly named, "Believers Walking In Victory (BWV)." If you recall, I participated in a similar event (Susan Komen 5K Race for the Cure) with my baby sister in Washington, DC. It is wonderful to share in this incredible experience with my husband and boys this go around. Any of you who may be interested in supporting my fundraising efforts in this race, simply visit www.makingstrides.acsevents.org. I have so much more to share with you, and I promise to do so in the next few months.

Scripture to feed on:
"I know that the Lord is great, that our Lord is greater than all gods. The Lord does whatever pleases Him, in the heavens and on the earth, in the seas and all their depths. Great is the Lord and most worthy of praise; His greatness no one can fathom." (Psalm 135:5-6; Psalm 145:3) (NIV translation)
